LeetCode Alternatives in 2026: What to Use and When
LeetCode alternatives by interview round: why the AI coding round needs real-code practice, where to get it, and the other tools in one line each, with prices.

Most "LeetCode alternatives" lists line up tools as if they all replace LeetCode. The better question is which round you are preparing for. A 2026 loop can include an algorithm round, a system design round, a behavioral round, and now an AI coding round, where the code already exists and an AI assistant is allowed. Puzzle banks were built for the first kind. AICodingRound is built for the last one, and this guide explains why that round needs a different kind of practice. For how AI rules differ by company, see our AI coding interview overview.
We make AICodingRound. We are not affiliated with any other tool named here; their facts and prices come from their own sites, opened on October 28, 2026.
Practice the AI round on real code. Open a ticket in a working multi-file app, work it with your own Claude or Codex as a coach, and get a report on how you did. A good first problem is Back-to-back bookings rejected (easy, about 20 min). The beta is free and places are limited: get a place.
Our pick for AI coding rounds: AICodingRound
The AI coding round tests things a puzzle cannot: reading code you did not write, finding a bug from a symptom, fitting a change into an existing design, and checking what an AI tells you. AICodingRound practices exactly that.
- Real codebases. 49 public problems in Python, TypeScript and SQL on Postgres, each inside a working multi-file app: a room-booking API, an online shop, an invoicing app, a payments API.
- Real ticket types. Bug hunts written like real bug reports, feature builds in existing code, reviews of AI-written pull requests, test writing, code-reading questions and SQL problems.
- A full workspace. Editor, terminal, tests and a live preview in the browser. Nothing to install.
- Your own AI, as a coach. Bring your own Claude or Codex. It reads the code and explains, but it does not write the fix, so the change and the checking stay yours. You can also work with it closed.
- Graded like real work. On submit, tests check that your fix works and that nothing else broke. Then a short debrief asks about your own change: what caused the problem and how you checked it.
- A report you can act on. A level per skill (Strong, Solid or Developing), including how you used AI.
Why puzzle practice does not cover this round
A classic problem is self-contained: one function, a clear input and output, no history. The AI round gives you the opposite. Canva says its AI-assisted problems "can't be solved with a single prompt" and lists "Critically reviewed and improved AI-generated code" among what its most successful candidates did (Canva Engineering, June 11, 2025). For Meta's AI-enabled round, Hello Interview quotes a line it attributes to an internal source: "Should use AI, but need to show you understand the code" (Hello Interview; reported, not a Meta statement).
So the skills that decide this round are different:
- Finding your way around. Where does a request enter, where is data stored, which file owns the rule?
- Working from a symptom. A ticket says what the user saw, not which line is wrong.
- Checking the AI. Every answer is a claim. You confirm it in the code or with a test.
- Not breaking other things. Real code has callers and a test suite. A fix that turns one test green and another red is not done.
- Explaining your change. What caused the problem, and how you know your fix works.
You only build these by doing them on real code, which is what every problem on AICodingRound asks of you.
Four problems to start with
- Back-to-back bookings rejected (bug hunt, easy, Python, about 20 min). Reproduce, find the cause, fix, run the suite.
- Save a cart for later (feature build, medium, TypeScript, about 50 min). Build from a product spec inside an existing shop.
- Review the AI's webhook-signature PR (AI pull request review, medium, Python, about 10 min). Check an AI's claims against the provider's docs.
- The win-back email list came back empty (SQL, easy, about 15 min). A report query on a real Postgres database.
The other tools, in one line each
If your loop has other rounds too, these are the tools people search for. Facts and regular prices come from each company's site on October 28, 2026; check their sites for current deals.

LeetCode's pricing page did not open for us when we re-checked on October 29, 2026, so we link it instead of quoting a price.
Which tool for which round
- An AI-allowed round on existing code (bug hunt, feature, AI pull request review): AICodingRound. Our AI coding round guide has a 2-week plan.
- A debugging or bug bash round: AICodingRound's bug hunts start from a symptom, as the real round does. See our debugging interview guide.
- A SQL debugging round: our SQL problems run on Postgres, with
psqland a Database tab. See SQL debugging interview questions. - A company sent you a HackerRank or CodeSignal link: take that platform's sample or practice test, so the editor is familiar on the day.
- A classic algorithm or system design round: we do not cover these; the table above lists tools that do.
No report we found says Google or Meta dropped their classic coding rounds. What changed is that some loops add a round where AI is allowed and the code already exists, and that is the round most candidates have never practiced.
How to practice the AI round on AICodingRound
- Pick a problem in the library that matches your round type.
- Read the ticket, run the app or the tests, and reproduce the problem before you ask the AI anything.
- Ask your coach narrow questions, and check one claim per answer in the code.
- Make the change yourself, run the full suite, and submit.
- Answer the debrief, then read the report. The skill marked Developing is what your next session should work on.
Practice the round your next interview will actually test. The beta is free and places are limited: get a place.

Changes
- Removed the LeetCode Premium price: the pricing page did not open for us on re-check and other reports gave different figures, so we link the page instead. Reorganized by interview round: AICodingRound first for AI-allowed rounds on real code, other tools in one line each.
- First published. Every product page and price opened on this date.
