Practice the interview you will actually get.

AI-allowed rounds differ by company: some give you a chat panel, some a full agent, some nothing. Learn each format and its rules before you are in the room.

Three AI rules, three ways to prepare

  • Chat-only AI

You can ask, paste and read. The assistant cannot touch your files. You write every change.

  • Full agent

The AI plans, edits files and runs commands. You are graded on direction, review and ownership.

  • No AI

Just you and the code, as in the strictest formats. Useful for the follow-up questions too.

Company formatsTimed mocks coming soon

What candidates and companies have publicly described in 2025 and 2026, and what we will recreate. Today you can practice the skills on any problem; the timed, company-shaped rounds are not open yet.

Company interview formats and their AI rules
CompanyReported formatAI ruleOur practice round
MetaAI-enabled coding round, about 60 minutes in a shared editor with an AI chat. Three phases: fix a bug, build a feature, optimize when larger inputs break it.Chat-only AIChat panel only. The AI can read files but not edit them.Fix, build, then make it fast, with a chat-only assistant.
LinkedInAI-enabled coding with an AI panel. Known patterns (caches, intervals, data processing), then follow-ups on concurrency, malformed data and 100x data.Chat-only AIChat panel only. The AI cannot edit your files.Core task, then scale and edge-case follow-ups.
CanvaAI-assisted coding: plan, build with AI, then discuss. Open-ended problems that cannot be solved with one prompt.Full agentYour own AI tools, agents included.Ambiguous brief, clarify, build with an agent, defend trade-offs.
RampImplement a feature in an unfamiliar repo with AI, inspect the diffs, defend your changes.Full agentAI-enabled, agent use reported.Feature in an unfamiliar codebase, with a diff review.
CursorRepo-based project with the editor’s AI, then defend every line you shipped.Full agentFull AI agent in the editor.Project with an agent, then a line-by-line defense.
StripeBug bash: 45 to 60 minutes in an unfamiliar repo, an issue with very little context. Process matters more than finishing.VariesReports differ by year and team; several recent ones say no AI.Symptoms-only bug hunt, one hypothesis at a time.
AnthropicLive interviews and take-homes, unless told otherwise. No AINo AI unless the interviewer says so.The same problems with the assistant switched off.

Each format in detail: what is confirmed, what is only reported, with sources and dates.

  1. What Is an AI Coding Round? How to Practice for OneWhat an AI coding round is, how much AI you get (chat-only or agent), what gets judged, which companies run one, and a 2-week plan to practice for it.
  2. LeetCode Alternatives in 2026: What to Use and WhenLeetCode alternatives by interview round: why the AI coding round needs real-code practice, where to get it, and the other tools in one line each, with prices.
  3. Debugging Interview Practice: Bug Bash in Unfamiliar CodeHow debugging and bug bash rounds work, why your process counts more than a finished fix, a five-step loop for code you have never seen, and problems to practice on.
  4. Stripe Bug Bash Interview: Format and How to PracticeWhat is known about Stripe's bug bash (bug squash) round, what is only reported, the AI rules candidates describe, and a plan to practice debugging unfamiliar code.
  5. SQL Debugging Interview Questions (With a Real Database)Ten SQL debugging questions interviewers ask (wrong totals, missing rows, slow queries, unsafe fixes), a method that works on any query, and Postgres problems to run.
  6. Canva's AI-Assisted Coding Interview: What to ExpectCanva expects engineering candidates to use AI in its coding round. What Canva has published about the round, what it evaluates, and how to prepare for it.
