Orders shown twice or never while paging through the Placed tab

Hi, tonight during the weekend sale I was working the Placed tab: I read a page of 20 orders, cancel the ones we cannot ship (out of stock, address problems), then go to the next page. At 19:08 I exported the list of placed orders so I could tick them off afterwards. When I compared my export with what the tabs actually showed me, it does not match: some orders were on two pages (for example #2484161, #2484162 and #2484163 at the bottom of page 1 and again at the top of page 2) and some never appeared on any page at all. I count 8 orders from my export that I never saw on any of the nine pages, and we cannot ship what we never see. I attached the export, what I copied down from each page, and the access log from the admin server.

Our order screen has always worked like this and nobody noticed before because it was quiet. Tonight orders kept coming in while I paged. A few of the orders come from the marketplace feed and a bunch of those share the same second, in case that matters. Also, the Cancelled tab takes about nine seconds to open now. Please fix the paging before the Sunday sale, I do not want to compare lists by hand again.

Support note (Dana K.): I looked at the tab myself on the quiet test shop and could not make it go wrong: with nothing changing it shows every order once. Ibrahim's cancels and the new orders are the only things that changed while he paged. The nine seconds on the Cancelled tab are in the log he attached. Nobody has touched that screen since the summer.

Ask: find out why orders get repeated or skipped while someone works through the list, and fix it so a walk through any order list (all orders, one customer, one status) shows every order exactly once even while orders are being placed or cancelled. The Cancelled tab should open quickly again, and customers' own order history and everything else must keep working exactly as today.
