Nightly warehouse sync misses orders
WMS-342: Three paid orders never reached the warehouse
From: Fatima, Warehouse OpsThu 22 Oct, 7:40 am
Three paid orders from Tuesday (#18230, #18244, #18259) never showed up in the warehouse system, so nobody packed them. Customers are writing in. They are in the shop's order list as paid, and each one was paid well before Tuesday night's sync started and was last changed during Tuesday evening, so they were inside the window. Wednesday night's sync didn't pick them up either. I had to key them in by hand this morning.
The sync logs show no errors, and every night it says it pushed roughly the number of orders we'd expect, so nobody noticed until customers complained. It only seems to happen on busy nights. On a quiet Sunday I re-ran it and nothing went missing. I'd like to know that I can trust the nightly run again, because I can't tell which other orders were lost on earlier busy nights.

Support note (Imran, tier 2): I looked at the three orders: all paid, all changed on Tuesday evening, none in the warehouse. My first guess was that the warehouse API rejected some orders and the job swallowed the error, but their intake log shows nothing was rejected, it simply never received these three. I tried to reproduce on a laptop with a fresh test database and every order came through, so I can't make it happen on demand. The sync takes about 40 minutes on a busy night and the shop keeps taking and changing orders while it runs (payments clear, support edits, packers mark things packed). The warehouse system stores each order by its id, so receiving the same order twice is harmless.
Ask: every order that changed after the last run should reach the warehouse at least once (twice is fine), no matter what else the shop is doing while the sync runs. Orders lost on earlier nights are out of scope here, we will re-send those separately.
