BILL-352: Exported invoice shows a total 100 times too small

Ticket #51877 · email · High

Component: Spreadsheet export (support's guess)

From: Haruka Mori, finance, Kaede Foods KK (Osaka) · Received: Thu 23 Oct, 9:41 am (JST)

Hello, we invoice our customers in yen through Ledgerly. This morning our accountant downloaded the file for one of our invoices to attach to our books, and the total in the file says 4800.00. The invoice is for 480,000 yen. It's a hundred times smaller than it should be and it even has decimals, which yen don't have. We opened the file in Excel and also in a plain text editor and it says the same thing, so I don't think it's Excel messing with the number. The invoice itself looked normal when we looked at it in the app. We have sent a few dozen invoices this month so I'm worried about what else might be off. We close the month on Monday. Please tell us if our records are wrong.

Support note (Dana K.): Reproduced with a yen invoice on a test account: the downloaded file has the smaller number. Euro and dollar invoices look fine in the file. I haven't looked at anything else for this customer. Not sure whether the export is the only place involved.

Ask: fix the wrong amounts for this customer and make sure the same mistake doesn't show up anywhere else that numbers like these are displayed. Nothing about how euro and dollar invoices look should change.
